After a full day of photo documenting a training session for school principal and the importance of their relationship with their secretaries, this was the last shot of the day... To me it shows how comfortable the two are together.  Who's the boss?

Location Photograher.

The assignment was to photograph these four people for the web site of Anytime Fitness.  I got there, set up two lights on stands using umbrella's and immediately felt trapped.  I love photographing people on location, in natural settings.  Having them pose together with their feet up on a bench  made much more sense to me.  To me it shows that they enjoy working out with each other and shows the tone of the facility.  While the "formal" shots worked, there was not that layer of naturalness that I look for in my work.  As soon as we hit the gym floor, the smiles got broader and the shyness of being photographed vanished.  Natural, comfortable photography.

Photographing the serious body builder and golfer

This photo of golfer and body builder, Michael Minavian was used for his "Atomic Golf" book which was published a few years ago.  The book contained physical exercise routines for  the golfer as well as exercises for anyone wishing to easily improve their golf game.

River Garden's 2014 Golf Outing.

It's always my pleasure to donate my work to River Garden.  It's a spectacular facility.  I hope that as I age I won't require assisted living or elder care...   But if I do, I hope I remember River Garden's telephone number.  Every one involved in the golf outing worked hard, played hard, dodged thunder and lightning-and in short, everyone had a great day.

Image of the week...

Not shooting sports on a regular basis my timing is not always dead on.  Yesterday I got lucky.... caught it just right.  Coming out of the bunker and catching the sand in the air... makes up for the duffs.

Best Friends

It's always difficult to find the "right" words when someone is hurting.  Gator was being put down and John had to part with his best friend of many years.  Converting the image to black and white added some specialness to this image.

Giving Back To The Community

I've always enjoyed giving back to the community.  The JCA's Purim Festival was a huge success.
